The Literacy Research Centre at Lancaster works to understand the role of literacy in all areas of social life and to improve communication and collaboration between researchers and educational practice.

We are running an International Summer School in Digital Literacies 28th June - 1st July 2010.

We offer a distance learning MA in Adult Literacy, Numeracy & ESOL.

We are located in the Institute of Advanced Studies, in the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. We are closely associated with the Department of Linguistics and English Language and the Department of Educational Research.
